# MCP tools: assets

> Reference for the Funeli MCP tools for assets: what each tool does, its parameters and whether it changes live funnels.

Upload images and use photos from Unsplash in components. Agents call these tools for you; this page lists what each one does and the parameters it takes.

## list\_assets

**List assets.** Read-only.

List uploaded images with their URLs and metadata. Filter by funnel before choosing an image for a component.

| `projectId` | string | no | Project to read; omitted = the current project. Does not switch projects |

## upload\_asset

**Upload asset.** Changes the draft or settings; live funnels change only after publishing.

Upload an image into a funnel asset library and return its URL. Provide exactly one of url (public HTTPS image URL), fileBase64 (remote MCP), or filePath (local stdio only). Then use update\_component to place the returned URL in an image prop.

| `url` | string | no | Public HTTPS URL of the image to download and upload. |

| `filePath` | string | no | Local path readable by the MCP server process; only works for local stdio agents. |

## search\_unsplash

**Search unsplash.** Read-only.

Search Unsplash for free photos to use in image props. Returns hotlinked URLs, photographer attribution, and downloadLocation for use\_unsplash\_photo.

## use\_unsplash\_photo

Track selection of an Unsplash photo via its downloadLocation and return the hotlinked image URL to place in component props.
