# Serve funnels from your own domain

> Funeli funnels live on a project subdomain of funeli.top by default. Connect your own subdomain with a CNAME record and choose the primary domain for live links.

Each Funeli project has its own address on `funeli.top`, and you can connect your own subdomain, such as `start.yourapp.com`, so ad traffic sees your brand. Funeli issues the SSL certificate.

## Connect a domain

**1. Add it in Funeli**

In the project settings, open **Domains** and add your subdomain. Only subdomains are supported, not a bare domain such as `yourapp.com`.

**2. Create the DNS record**

At your DNS provider, create the CNAME record that Funeli shows, pointing your subdomain to `customers.funeli.top`. If Funeli also shows TXT validation records, add them as shown.

**3. Wait for it to become active**

Funeli checks the hostname and the certificate. The domain is ready when it shows as active. DNS changes can take from minutes to a few hours.

## Primary domain

When several domains are active, choose the one that live links use. You can switch a domain off for live links without removing it. Live funnels then open at `https://<your domain>/<funnel slug>`; the Funeli address keeps working too.

## Remove a domain

Removing a domain stops serving funnels on it. Update your ads first.

## Troubleshooting

> [accordion] The domain stays pending
>
> Check that the CNAME points to `customers.funeli.top` exactly and that no other record (A, AAAA or another CNAME) exists for the same name. If your DNS provider proxies traffic, as Cloudflare does with the orange cloud, set the record to DNS only. DNS changes can take a few hours to reach everyone.

> Some domains are validated with TXT records instead of over HTTP. Add exactly the records Funeli shows, then check the domain again.
