# Funeli glossary: Workspace, project, funnel, step and more

> Definitions of the terms used across Funeli and its documentation, from Workspace and project to draft, revision, version, theme, connection and handoff.

The terms used across Funeli, in alphabetical order.

| Term | Meaning |

| **Answer** | A value a visitor gave, saved under a field name such as `goal`. Rules, visibility, computed fields and copy variables read answers. |
| **App handoff** | Taking a buyer into your mobile app with access granted through RevenueCat or Adapty. |
| **Component** | A building block of a step, such as a heading, a question or a plan selector, configured by its settings. |
| **Computed field** | A value calculated from answers, such as a BMI or a goal date. |
| **Connection** | Saved credentials for an outside service, such as a Paddle account, a Meta pixel or an Amplitude project, owned by a project. |
| **Draft** | The editable state of a funnel. Visitors never see it. |
| **Exit offer** | A second paywall shown once when a visitor closes checkout or goes back from the main paywall. |
| **Experiment** | A split of a live funnel's traffic between published variants. |
| **Funnel** | A sequence of steps from the first question to the app, with its plans, payment and tracking settings. |
| **Hook** | A call from a step to your HTTPS backend whose response is saved into answers. |
| **MCP** | Model Context Protocol, the standard through which AI agents such as Claude and ChatGPT use Funeli. |
| **Mock checkout** | A checkout that never charges, used until a payment provider is connected. |
| **Offer** | A one-off product sold as an upsell after the purchase. |
| **Plan** | A subscription option on a paywall, with its price, trial and billing period. |
| **Preview link** | A link to the draft for signed-in members of your Workspace. |
| **Project** | One app you promote, with its own funnels, themes, domains, pixels, payments, analytics and handoff. |
| **Publish** | Freezing the draft into a new version that visitors see. |
| **Revision** | A saved change to the draft. Any revision can be restored. |
| **Rule** | A condition on a step that sends the visitor to another step. |
| **Share link** | A time-limited link to the draft for people without a Funeli account. |
| **Step** | One screen of a funnel, with a kind such as question, paywall, success or upsell. |
| **Theme** | Colours, fonts, corner radius and type scale shared by the funnels of a project. |
| **Version** | A published, immutable copy of a funnel. Analytics can be filtered by version. |
| **Web handoff** | Sending a buyer to your web app with a token your backend exchanges for the verified purchase. |
| **Workspace** | Your team in Funeli: members, roles and projects. |
